S/4HANA Introduction – EDI – Electronic Data Interchange
The EDI set-ups will remain fundamentally unaffected by the introduction of S/4HANA and will continue to be functional even after the system change. Our suppliers will not have to make any technical adjustments.
However, there will be effects on EDI processing associated with the article number changeover.
The previous REYHER article numbers will be reported to you in the outgoing documents (ORDERS) until further notice. For future new article listings, only REYHER article numbers in accordance with the structure valid from 1 January 2025 will be used. As a result, the EDI field for customer article numbers can contain numbers that use the previous 15-digit structure as well as the new 18-digit structure.
We will be able to process previous article numbers in the EDI return documents (ORDRSP, DESADV) you send. This means that outstanding transactions from 2024 will not require a change to the article number. In the future, however, we would like to convert all transferred article numbers to the new format.
A changeover should be considered in the following cases:
- You have implemented an inbound EDI connection (ORDERS) with F. REYHER and also use the supplier portal for enquiries and quotations.
Only the new article numbers will be transferred into the supplier portal on the introduction of S4/HANA. In order to standardise the numbers used, we will switch to the transmission of the new REYHER article number in the EDI orders on request. Please contact the REYHER e-business team.
- You have implemented an outgoing EDI connection (DESADV, ORDRSP) with F. REYHER.
Even if the familiar REYHER article numbers are recognised for the time being, please change the return documents sent to REYHER to the new article numbers in the future. Use either the data from the order from 2 January 2025 or store the new REYHER article numbers in your system.
If, contrary to expectations, any technical problems arise with EDI processing despite our extensive integration tests, you can contact the e-business team at the following e-mail address: edi.ebusiness@reyher.de
