Supply Chain Day 2017 at REYHER

Initiated by the Federal Association for Logistics (BVL) every year the “Supply Chain Day” is performed nationally and internationally. This year on 27 April over 40.000 participants visited over 450 events.

On this occasion REYHER organized an event an offered over 50 visitors the opportunity to look behind the scenes during a tour through the logistic centre.

This year theme for the Supply Chain Day is “Logistic paves the way”. The varieties and tasks are shown clearly, whilst companies open their doors and show their tasks and processes. Same with REYHER: on average 3,800 orders with a total over 21,000 order positions per day are handled. Over 300 tones goods leave the shipping department daily to arrive at the customers the next day – often just in time. For a smooth operation an efficient logistic planning with automated processes is required.
