The not-for-profit Hamburg association Hanseatic Help currently has its focus set on help for the Ukraine. Close cooperation with on-the-spot organizations facilitates providing needs-driven support and to despatch aid shipments into the affected regions. In addition, Ukrainian refugees in Hamburg have access to a pop-up
‘help store’ in Altona, where they can access clothing and drugstore products without cost. To achieve these goals, Hanseatic Help is collaborating closely with the Ukrainian aid authorities. Further help stores are being planned.
Hanseatic Help’s motto is: ‘Simply do it’. At REYHER, we have taken this motto to heart and donated € 50,000 to the association. We want to assist Hanseatic Help and consequently the Ukrainian refugees to receive the help they need, making the stores an important point of contact. The donation is being used to supply these with needs-driven articles that cannot be covered by donations in kind, such as sanitary products.
Hanseatic Help - a registered association – has been operating since 2015 as a social logistics centre, networking partner for aid organizations and intercultural meeting point. Many volunteers are in action there, supporting more than 300 not-for-profit institutions with clothing and sanitary product donations.
