Every year Reyher employees take part in numerous charity runs in Hamburg, using their sporting activities to support social projects. 2019 is no exception. On Sunday 28 April five colleagues took part in a sponsored run for the ‘phönikks’ foundation in this season’s ‘Haspa Marathon Hamburg‘.
The ‘phönikks’ charity run began in 1987. A group of young people decided to run the Hamburg Marathon carrying donation buckets. They asked spectators to throw money into the buckets to help children suffering from cancer. Since then the run has attracted more and more runners, spectators and companies supporting this campaign.
The ‘phönikks’ advice centre supports families affected by a cancer diagnosis. In this situation experienced staff in the advice centre reassure the families and help them to cope. The ‘phönikks’ foundation’s program includes art projects, music therapy for children and much, much more, at no cost to the families.
