When using fasteners at high temperatures, a distinction is made between warm-resistant (up to 300 °C), high-temperature (300 - 800 °C) and heat-resistant (600 - 1,200 °C).
“Standard screws, nuts and washers” can be easily used in the temperature range up to 150 °C. In the range up to 300 °C, additional proof of a hot yield limit is required. We also have a range of hexagon products (8.8/8) in stock for this particular application.
For the high-temperature and heat-resistant area, fasteners made of special materials are generally necessary. Detailed descriptions and a selection of suitable materials can be found in the Pressure Equipment Directive, the AD leaflets or the European standard DIN EN 10 269. Please do not hesitate to contact us if necessary. We also realise your requirements for fasteners made of special materials.
