AKL extension: Productivity tests started

The expansion of our automated small parts warehouse (AKL) and the creation of four additional aisles means that our AKL will offer space for 170,000 container locations in future. In the meantime, the installation of the storage and retrieval machines, which move at a speed of up to 5 m/s, and the electrical installation of the entire system have been completed. As a result, we have already been able to start production start-up tests. Here, the entire process from storage and retrieval of articles to order picking is tested. The next step, the filling of the new aisles, is planned for February.
